If your main goal in this life is to really achieve something, or simplified - be successful, then you should make the best out of yourself just like how you treat a flowering plant. You cultivate it in the best way you can because you want it to grow and blossom with the most beautiful flowers. Always remember that if you give your 100% in everything, then there is a sense of security that you will get the same back because you know you did some 'self-cultivation'. Take a look at the 5 traits that every successful have, or tried to grow as a part of them:
1. Willpower. As the great poet Aleister Crowley once said; "In the absence of willpower, the most complete collection of virtues and talents is wholly worthless." If you really want something, you make a move and get things done. Without your effort, your dreams become meaningless.
2. Self-confidence. Strength without confidence is useless. If you think you can do it, you better see to it that you know you can do it. Belief in oneself is the key to greater things and undertakings. To be self-confident is to acknowledge your abilities and is also an act of avoiding the possible underrating of one's capabilities.
3. Optimism. Just like Helen Keller, you should also make it a point to believe that optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Whenever you lose your way in frustration, optimism is also one key to restore your faith in yourself.
4. Communication. Always remember; Hearing is not the same as listening. If you learn how to communicate and do it well, it will open the doors to better understanding. When proper communication is observed, trust and credibility, as well as respect, follow.
5. Passion. This is the reason why you're holding on. Your passion should be the backbone of whoever you are now. Your passion and drive to do the things you love should be the reason why you get to where you want and supposed to be.
