The Samsung J7, released in June 2015, is now looking at a predecessor rumored to be released sometimes this year. Here are the leaked specs circulating around the Internet.
The leaked specs, reported on Android Pit, indicate that the new mid-range device will accommodate an Exynos 7870 octa-core (8 cores) processor at 1.7 GHz and sustained by 2 GB of RAM. This processor has been developed by Samsung for mid-range devices, and the above specs were obtained from a Geekbench test.
It is said that most of its features will not be too different from its predecessor, the original Samsung Galaxy J7 (2015)
According to NDTV, The screen is rumored to continue to be of 5.5 inches with HD - a resolution of1,280 x 720 pixels. The rear camera sensor should come at 13 mega-pixels with a front selfie camera of 5 mega pixels.
A rumor suggests that a Snapdragon edition of the device is in the pipeline; others say that a Snapdragon octa-core is another possibility where the CPU of the Samsung Galaxy J7 is concerned. This edition is said to have a 1,080p resolution display, and also 3 GB of RAM.
Another less believable rumor from the leaked specs of the Samsung Galaxy J7 is hinting that the battery capacity could be in the region of 4,300 mAh. Most sources seem to think this is a far-fetched prospect, and to believe it is optimistic.
The model number of the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) is said to be SM-J710FN, and the phone is widely rumored to come incorporating Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The price, at least according to the rumors, is said to be no more than USD 350.
Amidst news of leaked specs is the hint that the new model of the J7 might come with a fingerprint sensor.
It is also hoped that the new model will follow the example of the sleek design of the Galaxy J3.
