Apple Music Subscribers who are invested with Sonos speaker ecosystem have been patiently waiting to get access to Apple's streaming music service.
According to Macrumors, Apple Music will be available worldwide on Sonos system starting from Wednesday. Music fans will be able to access features such as For You, New, Radio and My Music. An app by the name of Sonos Controller which is available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and also Android phones, will allow users to stream an entire Apple Music catalog through Sonos smart speaker giving the listeners a quality sound within anywhere in the vicinity.
During the course of the beta test that started on December 15, ending a two months course of testing period on the Sonos's platform that was tested by hundreds of thousands of listeners, Apple senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue was satisfied.
Eddie Cue said, "The feedback from Apple Music members on Sonos during the beta period has been great,". Adding "Sonos plus Apple Music provides an amazing listening experience at home, and we're excited to offer it to all Sonos customers starting tomorrow."
Sonos's collaboration to Apple Music is the latest move the company has made from a list of streaming music partners. The company has long before given offer to software supports from heavyweight industries like Pandora and Spotify. And picked up at the same time smaller services such as Tidal, Google Play and Deezer.
Since Sonos announced in November the first plans to build up support for Apple Music, Eddy Cue quickly made the solicit move with Sonos hardware considering both companies high standard.
Sonos chief executive officer John MacFarlane says, "This partnership has been an excellent example of two companies that truly care about music coming together to deliver a great listening experience," and also says "Working with Apple gives us the opportunity to share Apple Music throughout people's homes in a way that's easy, intuitive, and sounds great."
