"Final Fantasy" fans can now breathe easy as "Final Fantasy IX" is now released on the iOS and Android platforms, developer Square Enix has confirmed.
For years, "Final Fantasy" fans have been following the saga and this ninth release has already been successful accounting sales of 5.5 million copies sold since it was released in 2000. Unfortunately, one frustration gamers encounter is they can't bring the game everywhere unless they lug their stations around.
Now, players can play "Final Fantasy IX" anytime, anywhere on users' smart phones.
What's the difference between the home version and the mobile version? Players might think that the graphics may be too small or undefined, but the mobile version features high definition movies and character models. The auto save option remains available as well as achievements and game boosters.
According to reports, the game is available for sale at $17 in the App Store and Google Play.
Avid game players must hurry though as the price will go up 20% after Feb. 21. Another thing users should know is that once you purchase the game there are no more additional fees or in-app purchases.
"Final Fantasy IX" requires an iOS version of 7.0 and Android 4.1, or higher. Upon download, Square Enix warned users that the game will take up 4GB of memory and 8GB of free space. The price is low compared to other mobile games but the resources required are way higher, so users may need to invest in expanding their phone requirements or delete some unused apps from their phones.
