Hulu has always supported PC and Mac, along with smartphones and tablet devices. Now the streaming service has integrated the app much deeper by launching it with the newly universal Windows 10.
Since Hulu is now available on Windows 10 an upgrade from the previous Windows 8.1 app, it doesn't mean old accessible ways are ceased but adds more option for users to the service.
The latest release shows more streamline capabilities in a wide range viewing experience that works perfectly with many devices. Specific app to Windows 10 features a user interface that supports any device.
Unlike other competitors such as Netflix where it manages to reach worldwide, the U.S or Japan are countries where users can enjoy Windows 10's many perks that Hulu app has to offer.
The app is integrated into the latest operating system that allows it to work with Cortana's virtual assistant and swiftly give out responsive layout.
"The Hulu app on Windows 10 is the only version of Hulu available today that uses universal voice search through Cortana." Mentioned on a blog announced by Windows team.
Just by saying "Hey Cortana", it operates the virtual assistant to a viewing experience then gives the command of a user's choice.
In addition it also supports Live Tiles, which allows the user to enable Hulu app to be pinned directly to the Start Menu, and keeps a constant discovery to new shows while staying synced on latest addition and features shows.
According to Hulu's SVP of User Experience Ben Smith, Live Tiles will receive latest enhancement in the future for a better personalized experience to its user.
"We're looking at how users interact with content and voice, for us and I think this is true of everyone investing in voice, it's a long-term play. It's not about success in the short-term...it's about understanding what in the eyes of the user will be successful," Ben Smith explains.
