Instagram has reached a popular success, where thousands or millions of users are engaging in social networks. In this case it also attracts high profile users and along with hackers who tries to infiltrate as much accounts as they can, chances are anybody could be the next target.
Among celebrities are Taylor Swift and Kris Jenner who found their accounts temporarily out of use. It only takes a username and password to intervene access.
Only now, when Instagram decided to address the issue by implementing the two-factor authentication, which will roll out its security features to prevent users from being hacked.
Instagram is slowly but surely delivering the security feature to its users, in any case it could already be implemented to a user account.
According to a report by TechCrunch, Instagram will allow users to verify an account using a phone number, then at any given time could login in their account. When users do log in, they will receive a text message with an authentication code where it will be needed to complete the login.
So if a hacker tries to make an unauthorized login to a user account with or without a username and password, they would still need the authentication code that the user already first made during the verification process.
This would make it impossible for hackers to break-in, unless they infiltrate a user's messages.
Such scenarios for people getting their Instagram account being hacked, can include hackers deleting a user's photo, commenting on a user's friend inappropriately, leaving spam posts on the account, or even losing followers.
So for a brand or a celebrity, this security feature could help them protect their accounts and prevent unwanted infiltration.
