Jay Cutler Sprains MCL

Chicago Bears quarterback, Jay Cutler, has a sprained MCL, but Bears fans should not worry too much since this injury will not be enough to keep him from starting against the Green Bay Packers. However, the thought of Cutler suffering another MCL injury might bring back some harsh memories for Bears fans. During the 2010 NFC Championship game against the Packers, Cutler left with an injury to, you guessed it, his MCL and the Bears ended up losing.

Cutler got blasted in the media for the incident, but team officials have said that his most recent injury is not as serious as the one he sustained a couple of years ago. Cutler was able to participate in practice last Thursday, but his participation was limited as to not aggravate his injuries even further. The upcoming game against the Packers will be a very important one for the Bears as they can clinch the NFC North with a win.

The Bears are currently in the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC, so a win against the Packers will help them get some much needed momentum as they head into the playoffs. Here’s hoping that Cutler will be able to remain healthy throughout the post season because Bears fans will definitely need him if they want to last longer in the playoffs.
