The study was conducted over a thousand professionals that rates career prospects, quality of life, cost of living and cultural diversity as the system indicators for career-oriented professionals. Out of the top cities in the United States, San Francisco ranked third in all four indicators but topped the rest when it comes to longtime earnings through a tenured career.
To support the study, Ireneo Mendoza, regional VP for Robert Half, expressed that the city has opportunities for professionals that can create long-term career prospects and development.
"Whether you get a job at a Fortune 100 company and climb the corporate ladder, or get in early at a tech startup and get paid off when they go public or sell, the Bay Area has tremendous opportunities," Mendoza explained.
Further studies have concluded that when professionals choose to relocate somewhere else when it comes to a job, the top most factors are tied to higher income and lower cost of living. Secondary reasons are family and friends in close proximity.
Moving to San Francisco may not be so bad especially since San Francisco is a thriving city that is in the economic boom. Currently, technology plays a major part in the city's success but there are also other industries that lead professionals to thrive.
