The "Penny Dreadful" season 3 comeback may leave fans in awe of what's next with the Showtime hit horror series. Full of tragedy, despair and insanity, the released trailer of the third season clearly defined the show's new tagline "Embrace Your Dark Side."
The almost two minute trailer showed the cast of "Penny Dreadful" season 3 as they embraced the dark side of the continuation of their pitch black journey scheduled on May. 1, 2016. Vanessa Ives, Ethan Chandler, Dorian Gray, Sir Malcolm Murray, Victor Frankenstein, Frankenstein and Madame Kali are seen once again on the next season's trailers.
Each one of the characters of "Penny Dreadful" season 3 illuminates their own story as the chapters proceed. Eva Greens' Vanessa Ives to be exact is now completely "touch with Satan" in the trailer. Ives' in the previous season details a tormenting struggle over her insanity and the trailer clearly shows that this ordeal still lives on in the next chapter.
The trailer song Leslie Gore's "You Don't Own Me" also added up to overall cynic theme of "Penny Dreadful's" third season. Shazad Latif who portrays the role of Dr. Jekyll also paves his appearance on the video as he transforms into the hideous Mr. Hyde.
Also, Variety teased the new actors in the third season including Wes Studi who plays the role of Kaetenay. In the story, Kaeteney is described as the Native American descent who has a solid connection with Josh Hartnett's character Ethan Chandler. It was also depicted that Kaeteney will eventually become an "ally" of Sir Malcolm in the story and he is also suspected to be involved with Ives' recovery in the future.
Other actors joining in the third season are Christian Camargo and Jessica Barden. Watch "Penny Dreadful" season 3 on May 1, 2016.
