Good news, all Duggar fans! Following the cancellation of the family's hit reality series, "19 Kids and Counting," due to the controversial molestation scandal of Josh Duggar, the infamous family will be returning on TV with a brand new series.
Just recently, rumors about the possibility of a "19 Kids and Counting" reboot have been circulating the Internet. As a matter of fact, an insider told Entertainment Tonight that the Duggars have been filming near their home in Springdale, Arkansas for a few months now.
Latest Duggar updates, however, revealed that it was Jill and Jessa Duggar who have landed their own television series. According to Cinema Blend, TLC recently signed on the sisters for a brand new series, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
Following the airing of the three-part Duggar special of the same title on TLC last year, the network has decided to bank on Jill and Jessa, and their expanding families for a full season show, Us Weekly revealed.
The upcoming series will depict the lives of the two Duggar sisters as they deal with the challenges of having their own families and raising their own kids. The first season will show how Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald are bonding with their 3-month-old son, Spurgeon.
Jill and her husband Derick Dillard, on the other hand, will share their experiences as they embark on missionary works in Central America with their 10-month-old son, Israel.
"We've shared this journey with the world," Jessa said in the first trailer for the series. "Family is everything."
Aside from Jill, Jessa and their respective families, other Duggar family members including Jana, Jinger, Joy Anna, John David, Josiah, Joseph and Josh's wife Anna are also reportedly appearing on the show. Duggar parents Jim Bob and Michelle, however, are apparently not part of the show.
Meanwhile, Jessa Duggar-Seewald recently announced that she and her husband are contemplating about adoption, which was revealed in the trailer of their new show, Inquisitr reported.
"Being a mom is that most amazing thing," Jessa said in the trailer, as per Design & Trend. "We are hoping to adopt very soon."
In addition, the trailer also hinted the possiblity of Jana Duggar's romance.
The new Duggar show, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," will premiere on Tuesday, March 15 at 9 p.m. on TLC.
