DC comics' "Sandman Movie" is one sly film that is still not sending any queue on when it will debut on the big screen this 2016. Although the initiation for the film adaptation was even planned in 2013, the management behind the movie is still not concluding any developments happening for the Neil Gaiman comics creation.
What started as a comic in 1989 created by Neil Gaiman became a hit read amongst avid DC dark fantasy comics enthusiasts. This was even a continuous success even after its last series ended up in 1996. The "Sandman Movie's" plot is still unknown meanwhile readers of the comics knew that "Sandman" introduces them to the world of Morpheus aka Dream itself and his pursuit in Dreaming and the waking world.
"500 Days With Summer" actor Joseph Gordon Levitt together with producer David S. Goyer are the key people reported to make the movie possible this year. Whoever you want to call him "Dream, Morpheus, Oneiros or Shaper, the upcoming "Sandman" movie entails that the DC superhero is not taking any shot in producing violence to save humanity.
Gordon- Levitt once said in an interview from MTV via THR that the movie is going "to be really good." And the 35 year-old actor even added that the movie is not the same as the typical action movie that everybody is accustomed to in watching.
"Big, spectacular action movies are generally about, like, crime-fighters fighting crime and blowing shit up. This has nothing to do with that," Gordon-Levitt explained in the interview. "It was actually one of the things that Neil Gaiman said to me, he said, 'Don't have him punch anything.' Because he never does. If you read the comics, Morpheus doesn't punch anybody. That's not what he does. And so, it's going to be like a grand, spectacular action film, but that relies on none of those same old ordinary cliches."
Interestingly, "Sandman" embodies very exciting details for readers and moviegoers alike. There is also one DC character with the same name and also plays a mysterious persona "Sandman" aka Wesley Dodds. Although the two are very distinct and not related at all, both characters exude a high level of lucidity in their life as superheroes. Dodds is well identified wearing a green suit, a gas mask and carries a gas-emitting device in catching criminals while Dream 'Sandman' on the other hand, excels in the world of immortality.
Meanwhile, Tech Times highlighted that 2016 is supposed to be the year that the "Sandman movie" will start its production although there is still no finalized date yet until now to confirm the previous announcement made.
