Comedienne Amy Schumer is facing criticisms over a Jewish joke. Famous for her hasty and candid humor, Schumer's most recent tweet has left her facing racism allegations.
The American writer-producer posted a picture of herself on Twitter positioned between two musicians, a clarinet player, and a saxophonist. Captioned first with "A Jew with horns," Amy Schumer immediately retweeted, correcting herself over the incident and said that she is also a jew.
"My bad. I meant to say 'A Jew with 2 horns,'" the actress said. The description of the photo was referred by some as a racist typecast about the Jews, according to the Daily Mail. As a result, the joke gathered different reactions. Some said it was "tasteless and unfunny."
It is not the first time that Schumer, who is a natural Jew, has come under attack over her insulting comic subjects. Subsequent to last year's MTV Movie Awards, she was formerly charged with racism where she uttered that Latin women were "crazy." The comedian was then referring to the suspenseful story Gone Girl, where she illustrated the movie as a picture of a white crazy woman or all Latinas game plan if you will cheat on them.
Responding to social media criticism, she wrote on her Twitter account that she is a dirty half-Jew and also advised that she would crack jokes about topics some are not comfortable with. "Stick with me and trust I am joking," she further tweeted.
Amy Schumer recently became celebrated because of the success of the movie, "Trainwreck." Canyon noted that her movie obtained $138 million sales.
On a different note, Schumer made her first appearance in Studio 8H hosting the 'Saturday Night Live' and also hosted MTV Movie Awards.
