Delayed and held for release several times since 2013, this album of Wayne can be expected this year although the "I am Not a Human Being" rapper has not officially hinted any specific dates.

The overdue delay of the anticipated new album of Lil Wayne was caused primarily by his record label known as Cash Money Records. Spin wrote that Lil Wayne opened up his sentiments and concerns over the record name on twitter in 2014.

"This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation."

In the latter part of the ordeal, the failure of the record company and Birdman to release the album made "Weezy" subject to a $51 million lawsuit according to MTV.

Meanwhile, the "Lollipop" musician even released some solo tracks like "Sorry 4 the Wait 2" in the past to make amends with the "Tha Carter V" delay. Plus, he also did a collaboration work with 2 Chainz in a project called "Collegrove" which is now set for release on March 4.
