Steven Tyler may not be a judge on "American Idol" anymore, but that didn't stop him from returning to the show for a surprise visit, in drag that is.
The Aerosmith lead singer introduced himself to the judges Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson as "Pepper LaBeija from the House of LaBeija."
Wearing high heels, stuffing in a bra, a dress, blonde wig and red lipstick, he looked every part the drag queen.
Mariah Carey pointed out that there was something peculiar about this contestant. "[The] dude, looks like a lady."
Steven Tyler said he come by in the drag disguise to wish the new judges luck as they begin the show's new season.
''I just wanted to come by and say hello. I love you. Good luck with this year,'' he told them.
Steven - who served as a judge on 'Idol' along with Randy, 56, and 'On the Floor' hitmaker Jennifer Lopez, 43, in 2011 and 2012 - decided to carry out the stunt because he wanted to wish the new judges, Mariah, 42, Keith, 45, and Nicki, 30, luck as they began filming auditions.
