Controversies are a part of every celebrity's life, and singer John Legend is not exempted from that reality. After a Twitter post, Legend and Donald Trump's son started an online argument that has brought forth division and enstrangment.
According to Music Feeds, "The events sparked a heated Twitter discussion between The Donald's son and R&B heavyweight John Legend, who branded Trump a racist." It all began when Donald's son posted in his Twitter account, "When Trump Jr. tweeted about the Chicago protesters, sneering: "Ha 5 students when asked why they were protesting couldn't even answer. The participation medal/micro aggressive generation is pretty sad!"
Upon being aware of that post, Legend's rebuttal was, "I think they were protesting your racist father. This isn't complicated." Indeed, as the two sides took to the social media to relay their thoughts and preference, the division is getting deeper and the differences grew stronger as well.
It is clear that the world renowned singer is not backing down when it comes to relaying his mind and he had made it clear in the past that he will not support nor vote the presidential hopeful. He further added that the actions of Donald Trump's son as well as his tweets are more than enough to satiate the reasons for the protesters such as him to not vote for him at all.
A separate post from Inquisitr said, "Legend attended the same university as both Donald Trump, Jr. and Donald Trump and he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in English and a concentration in African American Literature and Culture."
It is highlighted that the Twitter conflict resulted into different sector taking sides. It has generated a lot of interest from the tweeters. For Trump's son, it had 7,000 likes for his tweets while John Legend garnered more than 88,000 likes and 65,000 retweets.
