Popular rock band AC/DC was forced to cancel the last leg of their 2016 "Rock or Bust" tour because fellow band member Brian Johnson has been sternly warned by his doctors that he will risk "total hearing loss" if he continues to perform, as told by Hollywod Life.
The band's Twitter account announced online that they are rescheduling their upcoming U.S tour dates. Fans are disappointed to hear that their favorite singer has been incapacitated but everybody wishes for him to get better. However, Ultimate Classic Rock has raised an eyebrow when the band's official website's press release indicated that the show will go on, but with a guest vocalist instead. So UCR has come up with a list of names that may be able to fill the legacy's shoes for a few nights.
UCR started with Airbourne's Joel O'Keeffe, saying that he's got the perfect voice and stage performance with the addition of a heavy AC/DC influence behind him. Sammy Hagar came in a close second. Hagar has the star power and vocal pipes that can match AC/DC.
David Lee Roth and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl were highlighted as well. Both are creative and, in a way, "old school", as described by UCR. Vince Neil can bring in the pyrotechnics and Lord Bendover of The Upper Crust can take the cake. Do you think Georg Dolivo or Marc Storace can pick up where AC/DC left off? UCR thinks so. The site also suggested Mark Tornillo and Billy Joel. And last but not the least, Bruce Springsteen is described to be the perfect guy to rip out "Highway to Hell."
While 68 year old Brian Johnson tries to save himself from going totally deaf, who do you think should guest-voice for AC/DC? Think about that while listening to "Thunderstruck" below.
