This year's 2016 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by "Central Intelligence" funny guys Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. But as hilarious as the duo are, the most popular duo may just be Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer - if they take home the trophies.
MTV has been hosting, not only music but, movie awards ceremonies as well. ET Online describes MTV's theme to always celebrate "your kind of movies." Maybe that's the main reason why Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer were individually nominated in a lot of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards categories, including their movies!
Although "Trainwreck" or "Mockingjay" have not been nominated for Best Movie, 20th Century Fox's "Joy" was nominated under "True Story" - the newest category for this year. In the same movie, JLaw was also nominated for Best Female Performance, competing with the likes of Daisy Ridley ("Star Wars: The Force Awakens") and Morena Baccarin ("Deadpool"). For "Hunger Games" fans, you'd be glad to know that Lawrence gets nominated for Best Action Performance and Best Hero for her stunt in "Mockingjay Part 2."
Amy Schumer gets nominated for Best Breakthrough Performance and Best Comedic Performance in Universal Picture's "Trainwreck." Could she beat Ryan Reynold's humor in "Deadpool"? Maybe, but she was named as one of the Best Kissers when she had her time with Bill Hader.
That's great news if they'd take home the trophies for their individual nominations but they will be competing in Best Ensemble Cast! "Mockingjay Part 2" versus "Trainwreck". Maybe their friendship will be over (again) if one of them wins.
