The stage is set for "WrestleMania 32," but WWE fans eagerly await more details about the annual event. Rumors and predictions have been rife online, however, only a few details have been confirmed as of writing.
While the attention is mainly geared toward some of WWE's greats like Triple H, John Cena and Riman Reigns, speculations are now shifting the focus to another legend- Shawn Michaels. Reports are starting to circulate that HBK could be given a major role in this year's biggest wrestling entertainment event.
According to Wrestle Zone, two ideas have been pitched for Shawn. One "idea would be that HBK would lead a group of legends to the ring to do the run-in for a yet to be determined match," while the second idea would be Shawn being a guest referee for the Triple H vs. Roman Reigns match.
If fans can remember, previous reports speculated that the guest referee stint could be handed to f former WWE star Dave "Batista" Bautista. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star has been reportedly invited to grace the event, but he has declined due to some prior commitments. However, rumors started to brew that things might have quickly turned for the good as Batista is expected to play a major role in the annual event.
"McMahon pitched an idea which would see Batista make a one-off appearance at WrestleMania 32," F4WOnline reported. "Batista reportedly turned down the idea, and as of this writing he will not be appearing at 'Mania."
"According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the idea pitched to Batista would have seen The Animal act as the special guest referee in the Roman Reigns vs Triple H WWE World Title match, in order to stack the deck against Reigns."
