Aaron Korsh assured "Suits" fans that season 6 will not open in a time jump. Also, the upcoming season will continue where the show left off in the finale of Season 5, which means it will start with Mike Ross being imprisoned.
"We're coming back right where we left off," Aaron revealed to The Hollywood Reporter. To be more specific, he added that the show will start to the very night where they ended the last episode. Also, it is apparent that the premiere episode will explore Mike's first night of being a prisoner, and the first night heading back towards the empty firm.
Looking back, the finale episode of season 5 showed Jessica, Louis, and Donna going back to the office right after Rachel and Mike canceled their wedding. On the other hand, it also showed scenes of Harvey dropping Mike right into the entrance gate of the prison.
Meanwhile, it appears that Korsh is already aware that "Suits" will have a renewed season. He even revealed that he was already aware that "Suits" will return for another thrilling airtime back when season 5 was still on telecast. He was confident enough that the channel will not just cancel the show right away. However, they were not personally informed regarding the show's renewal.
On a separate interview with Korsh by TV Guide, he disclosed hat he was really not in favor of the marriage of Mike and Rachel at first, but he considered the arguments favoring the couple's wedding on-screen.
Many fans will definitely want to see an ideal ending for Mike and Rachel on season 6 of "Suits." At this point, there is still no announcement about the premiere premier date of the next season or any juicy details about the upcoming run.
