"The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev reportedly skips parties to avoid her ex-boyfriends Ian Somerhalder and Austin Stowell, MovieNewsGuide reported on Sunday.
Dobrev, who played Elena Gilbert, is apparently laying off some fun by not attending some parties just so she could avoid certain situations like bumping into the people from her past relationships. It is also a way to stay away from attention to her recent breakup with Austin Stowell. She also reportedly wishes to not ever encounter Ian Somerhalder and his wife Nikki Reed.
Dobrev and Stowell's split-up was reportedly caused by her finding it hard to manage her time due to her busy schedule. She also missed out on a post-Oscar party hosted by Elton John, where Somerhalder and Reed stole the spotlight with their cute PDA on the red carpet.
According to Entertainment Online, Dobrev and Stowell's "cute" relationship ended after seven months. Despite all their romantic vacations and social media posts, E! News have confirmed that Dobrev and Stowell have indeed broken up.
"It started to get hard with both of their schedules. They remain on good terms," a source told E! News. Apart from that report, multiple sources have also confirmed the split that happened around late January to early February of this year. The speculations that the twosome was no longer in a romantic relationship started when fans noticed that Dobrev went to the Super Bowl 50 without Stowell.
In addition to that, the then-couple also failed to share any sweet messages for each other during Valentine's Day. Instead, Dobrev hung out with her best girlfriends with no men in sight. "Sunday Funday," she wrote on Instagram. "#HappyGALentinesDay."
The romance rumors between the two began last June when Dobrev was spotted kissing Stowell during an event at The Improv in West Hollywood. Although they did not walk the red carpet together at the time, they were seen to be very comfortable and happy whenever they were together.
