"X-Men: Apocalypse's" new "Storm" is one breakout star to watch out for. Alexandra Shipp, the actress behind the weather-controlling superhero in the comic movie sequel is making a huge noise in coveting the role that was once Halle Berry's.
The mohawk look for Shipp is one feature that makes her bold and fearless in the new franchise movie. When Shipp talked about the cool do for "X-Men:Apocalypse" she specified that it was actually something that she was "excited" about for the Marvel movie. What's surprising is that Shipp did not make things harder for the movie's hair stylist and in turn, even cooperated to shave off her entire hair.
"You know, I was really excited too 'cause when I was thinking, 'What are they going to do with my hair?' she said according to Collider. "They weren't too sure. They're like, 'Oh we'll let you guys know.' Then I'm like, 'Okay, well, I was thinking that they would do like the long white hair,' then I was like, 'Are they going to use my hair?' Then they told me they were doing the mohawk."
"I was like, 'Perfect.' I go and I do the wig fitting or whatever. I'm talking to Felix, the guy who does all of the hair and the wigs on the show. I'm like, 'You know what, let's do it now.' This was like 3 months beforehand. I was like 'shave it, let's do it!'"
Apart from Shipp's blonde do, the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie also brings back the old characters from the previous franchise, "X-Men: Days Of The Future Past." Digital Spy noted that Michael Fassbender will still grace the screen as Magneto, James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Nicholas Hoult as Beast.
Meanwhile, the new faces of "X-Men: Apocalypse" that will conquer cinemas this coming May are Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Ben Hardy as Angel and Kodi Smit-McPhee as the teleporter Nightcrawler.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will land in cinemas on May 27, 2016.
