"X-Men Apocalypse" recent news and updates will surely cause more excitement for waiting audiences. For the fans and followers of this much-acclaimed movie franchise, surprise will be in tow as "Storm" is speculated to fight alongside the bad guys.
It stands out that one of the main heroes of Professor Xavier's team did not originally stand by him. Actress Alexandra Shipp conveyed that Storm would not be defending humanity but would seek to destroy it. In addition, Melty reported, "Having seen Storm as a heroine in the original X-Men trilogy, many fans were surprised to see Alexandra Shipp's incarnation join Team Apocalypse rather than Team Xavier."
Even Shipp stated the main reason why Storm did not choose professor Xavier's ideals. Shipp revealed, "She doesn't know anything about the X-Men. The only thing she knows is about Mystique when she saved the president, but that's basically it. Other than Mystique, every other Mutant that she's known has been bad so, that's kind of where she's coming from. I don't necessarily see her as a bad person, or as a bad mutant. I don't see her as a villain. She doesn't know that she's a villain. That's just all she's ever known, is just bad."
Given the rumored role of Storm, many are also excited to see the role that Halle Berry was famed for. It remains to be seen how Shipp would bring forth Storm's character back on the big screen, but according to Collider, Shipp has the ability to transform and offer a new look of Storm that the world had never seen before.
"X-Men Apocalypse" is finally on its way and it is just a matter of time before all queries are answered and all mysteries are brought to the light, particularly the role of Storm as she fights against the heroes that will soon be her comrades.
