Bruno Mars' new album hits music stores this 2016! Fans can expect some great tracks as soon as it up for release. Mars' father Pete Hernandez shared the exclusive details about the new project.
Fuse (via Press Reader) reported that Pete Hernandez spilled the details of his son's next album and he even detailed how SuperBowl is one reason for its delay.
Hernandez said the album initially was "due in March, but by doing the Super Bowl, it threw him back several months." Like the proud father of any internationally-famous pop-star, Hernandez heaped high-praise on the forthcoming record, saying "Bruno has seven great new songs."
And Hernandez even added, "the album should now be released in September or October, to qualify for next year's GRAMMY Awards."
Although the news of Mars' album is sending a great excitement to the fans, "The Lazy Song" singer is also facing another issue regarding the song "Uptown Funk." Spin reported that the 1970s all-female rap group "The Sequence" is claiming that Mars' "Uptown Funk" and their 1979 single "Funk You Up" has many similarities.
According to the outlet, "the Sequence think that Ronson and Mars' "Funk" sounds too similar to their 1979 single "Funk You Up," especially the hook of the song in which the women sing, "Funk you / Right on up / We're gonna funk you right on up." Comparing the two songs, there's a portion of "Uptown Funk" in which Mars sings "Up /Town / Funk you up / Uptown funk you up."
Although the news brings Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars in a negative light, TMZ reports that the Sequence has not filed any lawsuit for Mars and Ronson.
