'The Division' DLC Release Date: Zombies Are Coming To New York?

Despite multiple delays before "The Division" was finally released this month, Ubisoft is still working on more updates to make every players' experience extra ordinary.

New reports suggested that there will be three sets of DLC's will be released this year. As Bit Bag detailed, the first expansion will be released by June 2016. Aptly reffered to as "Underground," the first update will allow players to go through tunnel mazes and subways as part of the gameplay. "Based on the description, the Underground DLC may introduce randomly generated tunnels that can be good sources of exp, loot and gear the longer the player explores them," the report added.

Meanwhile, the second expansion is slated for a Summer release, and will be called "Survival." Reports suggest that Ubisoft might introduce a survival mode content. The longer players stay alive, more rewards will be in store.

But perhaps the most interesting update will be released by Winter 2016, and will be called the "Last Stand." Rumor has it that with these ast update, new enemies in the form of zombies will be introduced to the game.

"The DLC title and the 'relentless foe' bit are enough signs that we could see Zombies in The Division soon," Bit Bag shared. "The game's setting already makes up for a zombie apocalypse story. Another prediction is that The Division DLC may finally bring players to the Statue of Liberty as its cover art features the iconic structure in New York."

The highly anticipated title has received a lot of flak eversince it was announced because of the several delays and talks of a possible downgrade. But after a limited Xbox One closed alpha, gamers are starting to give positive and promising feedback about the game.

"Well, thankfully, it seems as though The Division may finally be coming together," Uproxx reported.

"Ubisoft recently held a very limited Xbox One closed alpha for the game, and has announced an open beta will happen sometime in early 2016. You can check out some new footage of The Division, along with some comments from folks who played the alpha, at the top of this post."
