The Apple iPhone SE specs reportedly feature a very impressive battery life. This would definitely score the device more points in the battle for the best 2016 phone.
In Wall Street Journal's review of the Apple iPhone SE specs, the publication noted that the tech giant appears to be just moving "new brains into old iPhone 5S bodies." The SE has the same size as the 5S and can even fit into existing 5S cases.
It was previously reported that the Apple iPhone SE specs will feature a 12-megapixel camera as well as an A9 processor. Plus, the device comes at a lower price tag at $399.
However, it will still have the old touch sensor from iPhone 5S as well as the design. The latest Touch ID scanner and a fresh new design would reportedly have made the phone the best in the market.
According to WSJ, one standout feature of the Apple iPhone SE specs is its outstanding battery life. It was said that the device's capacity is a "significant improvement over its predecessors."
In the website's lab stress test, the iPhone SE lasted 10 hours while cycling through websites with uniform screen brightness. This is two hours longer than the results for the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 5S. it is also about three hours longer than the Galaxy S7.
For its incredible battery performance, though, users will have to sacrifice its screen resolution. Not only is it smaller, but it is also has fewer pixels as well as less contrast.
"I'm happy to see the iPhone SE, partly because I think that the world needs a small phone," the website wrote. "A selection of them, truthfully. This is a mini, yet mighty, start."
Forbes noted that a larger and higher resolution for the display will have a bigger impact on battery life. The iPhone SE's smaller screen and resolution may have helped the performance of its battery.
