It stands to reason JK Rowling did not enjoy the silver spoon in finding a job but she actually experienced the different side of it. Jumping from jobs to jobs and losing, Rowling remain resilient amidst the hurdles she has faced.
According to a former report from Business Insider, "Rowling worked as a secretary for the London office of Amnesty International, but she dreamed of being a writer, and she secretly wrote stories on her work computer and daydreamed about a teenage wizard named Harry Potter, and in turn her employers finally got fed up and gave her the boot."
Indeed it was one of those times that Rowling has finally decided to leave everything and focus on thing that can make her happy and make her excel and that is writing. To prove the latter, she used her free time to concentrate on her writing gig and sending out her drafts to publishers that are willing to take a look at it.
Her severance check helped support her over the next few years, when she finally decided to focus on writing, and today, she's the multi-billionaire author of one of the most successful book series of all time, according to the same report.
In previous report from Jobs & Hire, it was mentioned that she got rejected multiple times but she never regretted her career change. She even pointed out that even though she is known for her "Harry Potter" books, she is not slacking in delivering unparalleled storylines because her passion is in writing and in crafting her mind to bring about her dreams.
For JK Rowling, life is a matter of choice and in aspiring for your dreams, working hard and focusing on it is one of the ways to climb up the corporate ladder of success.
