Tesla's Model 3 is creating buzz online. With its impending release, more and more enthusiasts are flocking the internet for more information about the new EV's specs.
According to rumors, the Model 3 boasts of some notable features. And while some are not necessarily pleased with some of it, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was quick to address some questions and concerns on Twitter.
One of the main features of the new Tesla car is its bare steering wheel. Some speculated that it was designed that way to keep down costs, but Musk denied rumors and teased an exciting feature of the steering wheel that will make it feel like a "spaceship." "Wait until you see the real steering controls and system for the 3," he said in response to a tweet. "It feels like a spaceship."
Other notable things to watch out for the new Tesla Model 3 includes a vegan interior option, enough leg room to seat a 6'5" individual and an aerodynamic coefficient goal of 0.21, BGR shared.
Electrek previously reported that a source close to the Tesla design team has revealed a lot of exciting developments for the Model 3. "What I'm hearing internally is that CEO Elon Musk is intensely driving the engineering designers to deliver a design with a drag coefficient lower than .20 which would make it the lowest of any mass production car in the world and close to extreme vehicles like GM's EV1 and Volkswagen's XL1," the source claimed.
"Achieving extremely low drag coefficients can often result in unconventional - at times unappealing - designs. But considering Musk's penchant for aesthetics, it is unlikely Tesla will sacrifice visual appeal for better aerodynamic performance."
