The official Kylie Jenner cosmetics website may have endangered the personal information of its customers. The leak reportedly includes their credit card information.
TMZ reported that the official Kylie Jenner cosmetics website seemed to have a "shaky foundation" given that it had exposed its customers' personal information. Users have complained that when they logged into the site, they were redirected to an existing customer's account.
The information leaked were names, email addresses, personal addresses as well as order history. Moreover, every time a customer refreshed the official Kylie Jenner cosmetics website, the page would send them to another customer's profile.
This has left customers, who are already frustrated with the low lip kit supply, upset. It was noted that Kylie Jenner cosmetics employees had no idea about the issue and that it has already been fixed.
According to Teen Vogue, this mishap was more than just losing the opportunity to buy Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits. Several people could have gotten their identities compromised.
However, the website did note that the situation supported the fact that Kylie Jenner cosmetics is becoming one of the most sought-after beauty brands at this time. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star and her group don't even know how to address the line's popularity.
It was previously reported that Kylie Jenner's Lip Kits are so in-demand that last week's restock only took a few minutes before it got sold out. After the lipsticks went on sale at 7 p.m. EST, orders for the products crashed the whole website and were totally sold out after 20 minutes.
"I'm so sorry if this caused any inconvenience for anybody trying to get my kit," Jenner posted via the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account. "There [were] so many people the whole back end of the website crashed. It's not my fault but if it were up to me I'd want it to be as easy as possible for everyone."
