O.J. Simpson Mistrial: 6 Years in Prison for Retrieving Items Belonging to NFL Star; Terrible Lawyer "Tried to Throw O.J Under the Bus" for Kidnapping and Armed Robbery [VIDEO]

The 65-year-old former NFL player, O.J. Simpson is back for a retrial in Clark County District Court for his Las Vegas armed robbery and kidnapping conviction.

The new lawyer claims that his former lawyer messed up the trial so badly that he should be granted a retrial. The former NFL player never testified in the trial and his previous attorney Yale Galanter did not defend him against numerous objectionable, false evidences that were presented.

"Galanter tried to throw O.J. under the bus, but it was inconsistent with the entire defense he presented," Simpson's new lawyer Ozzie Fumo said. The mistrial has Simpson serve 6 of his 9-to-33 year sentence in a state prison, which would likely to continue if the verdict is not reversed.

Simpson trusted his lawyer Galanter and followed everything suggested by him. "He was my guy," Simpson confessed.

Galanter had allegedly told Simpson, "You have a right to get your stuff." But during the trial, he changed his advice into "O.J., you've got to call the police."

Reportedly, the former football player took some strong men with him, without knowing that they were armed, to take back memorabilia and other belongings that he had seen which was stolen from him. He went into the Palace Station Hotel and Casino to retrieve the objects when the manager called in and said that they are being robbed at gunpoint.

O.J. would have to be 70 before he is eligible for parole if the verdict is not overturned.
