Fan Brain Damage: Miguel's Leg Drop Victim May Sue; Could It Have Been Avoided By Marijuana Use? (VIDEO)

The victim of Miguel's "caught up in the moment" jump in the Billboard Music Awaards on May 19 is claiming to have suffered brain damage and is preparing to sue if the medical report becomes evidence for the claim.

The viral leg drop victim, Khyati Shah's lawyer told TMZ, "Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury."

After the incident took place, the woman was given an elbow ice pack instead of being rushed to the hospital. Miguel expressed his concern for Shah in a backstage interview, she was seen sheepishly smiling and going along with the flow of the interview.

Miguel tweeted saying, "got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay." But the tweet has since been removed. Some say this is due to its possible usage as evidence against the grammy-award winning R&B star.

The lawyer Vip Bhola is planning the lawsuit as of the moment and is waiting for the report from Shah's neurologist. Shah will decide on the lawsuit when she receives the report of the damage.

On a side note, a recent study of the ingredient THC in marijuana has been shown to link to reduced brain damage in mice. A pharmacologist in Tel Aviv University discovered that small amounts of THC may protect the brain from injuries.
