Are you a 80's and 90's kid? No doubt you have experienced childhood with that family computer. The original Nintendo in your living room was a highlight after school and on weekends. Now, it's mostly stuck in the attic or the basements of homes that used to plug the Nintendo for some Super Mario fun.
You may have thought about bringing it out of the box and dusting it off but the sight of the six foot controller cables is just ghastly for gamers that nostalgia sometimes isn't enough to break the box open. Tech Hive has it that a solution has been found. According to Retro Receiver, a $20 wireless controller dongle for the Nintendo Entertainment System can eliminate the tangled mess of chords.
8BitDo and Analogue has collaborated on what is called a "Retro Receiver."
The dongle can be plugged into the NES' controller slot and it can connect to any game pad or arcade stick made by 8BitDo. There's one that actually looks like an original NES. It can also connect with your PlayStation 3, PS4, Wii and Wii U Pro controllers.
If you don't have those kind of devices, the Retro Receiver can double as a Bluetooth controller for Windows PCs and Macs. It's easy to connect it to the USB port on your device.
It's a hint on playing old school with new cool.
Assuming your TV works with NES output, you can play your games with a controller that is similar to the original without the messy wires.
This tool is also essential for professional game testers that want to test out games in multiple controllers. This is just the excuse you need to be nostalgic.
