On Tuesday, model Karlie Kloss attended the TIME 100 Gala in New York with her entrepreneur boyfriend, Joshua Kushner. The 23-year-old celebrity, who also founded Kode with Klossy, shared her thoughts on an interesting app.
People reported that Kloss opted for a spaghetti-strap, floor length, purple gown by Victoria Beckham. She accessorized with minimal Maison Dauphin jewelry with a slick up-do as well as a pop of color on her red-hued lips.
Earlier this month, Karlie Kloss was named as one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People. She has worked with charities and collaborated with Warby Parker and Momofuku Milk Bar to benefit Edible Schoolyard NYC and Feed and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, respectively.
"I grew up in a house of strong women," she said. "My mom -and my dad of course, he was always very supportive of all my sisters and I. There was never anyone that ever told us we couldn't do whatever we wanted to do."
Speaking with TIME, Karlie Kloss shared her dreams of a fashion app. The 23-year-old supermodel partnered with Flatiron School and Code.org last year to offer scholarship for young girls interested in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
"I would love to build an app that could tell you what to wear every day so you wouldn't have to worry about it," Kloss revealed. "In my scholarship program we built an app that worked like the closet from 'Clueless.' So useful."
Karlie Kloss admitted to Fast Company that she has "big goals of continuing to build the community of these young women." She hopes that her scholars will not only stay in constant communication with each other but also to "learn from one another."
"People have been really supportive and excited about Kode With Klossy," she told Tech Crunch. "Ten years ago, it might have been this weird thing for a model to be taking computer science classes, but the industry is very tech friendly today."
