The world was shocked with the recent updates surrounding the missing airline, EgyptAir Flight 804. The mystery remains as the location of the plane remains elusive for all. Moreover, the airline officials themselves debunked the debris rumors.
The search for EgyptAir Flight 804 is continuing after reports that the plane's wreckage had been found turned out to be false and when searchers got close to debris found in the Mediterranean Sea they realized it didn't come from the missing airliner, EgyptAir's Vice Chairman Ahmed Adel indicated, as revealed by CNN.
The Airbus A320, which had 66 people on board, disappeared early Thursday as it flew from Paris to Cairo and a spokesman for Greece's Hellenic National Defense general staff had said an Egyptian search aircraft spotted two floating objects 210 nautical miles southeast of Crete, according to the same report.
However, the airline officials stand corrected of their assumptions. To prove the latter, We stand corrected on finding the wreckage because what we identified is not a part of our plane. So the search and rescue is still going on," Adel said.
Meanwhile, "It's very difficult to come up with a scenario that jibes with some sort of catastrophic failure. (The evidence so far) leads us down the road to a deliberate act," CNN aviation analyst Miles O'Brien said.
It remains uncertain on the cause of the missing plane and debris found did not indicate that it did come from the plane. The Guardian also reported of assumptions that terrorism is the likely cause for the clash.
Given the fact that the plane carried out a 90-degree turn to the left and a 360-degree turn to the right, falling from 37,000ft to 15,000ft, and the signal was lost at around 10,000ft, and controllers had tried to make contact with the plane 10 miles before it exited Greek airspace, the aviation authority revealed but there was no response from the plane, reports the same post.
As for the catastrophe that had occurred, the EgyptAir Flight 804 that flew from Paris to Cairo, in such good weather conditions has truly sparked worries and apprehensions. As for its present location, the airline officials and the stakeholders are still grueling for some clues regarding EgyptAir Flight 804's mysterious disappearance.
