Nanny Cam Home Invasion: Mother Stifled Cries To Save Baby Girl; 'I Was Afraid She Would Get Hurt,' 'I Didn't Cry The Entire Time' [VIDEO & REPORT]

A great mother thought about her child until the end.

The nanny cam home invasion victim was beaten, kicked, thrown around, and pushed down the stairs, but the young mother sought only the welfare of her child, and held her cries and screams so that her 3-year-old daughter (who was sitting on the couch watching the whole time) would not be harmed.

The whole attack was caught on the family's nanny cam and had been used by the police to find the home invasion suspect. The suspect was later identified as Shawn Custis, arrested, and held on charges of robbery, child endangerment, murder and burglary.

The New Jersey mother explained about her lack of response during the beating caught on nanny cam: “I knew that if I started screaming, my daughter would, too, and I was afraid she would get hurt. I took it. I didn’t cry the entire time.”

In contrast to the bravery of the mother, the cowardly brute had been found hiding in the houses of two girlfriends. The first kicked him out after seeing his face on the news, while the second girlfriend was arrested together with him in Manhattan. The Police had tracked Custis' cellphone to the Inwood home.

The home invasion victim bore bruises, broken teeth, wounds near her mouth that needed stitches and possible brain injury due to falling down the stairs to the basement. She had been knocked unconscious during the fall and had to called the Police after she has awaken.

The victim's nanny cam captured the whole event. Due to requests by the family, the woman and her child's face has been blurred to contain their privacy.
