It's a tale as old as time and Disney's planning to tell the story again through Emma Watson.
"Beauty and the Beast" was remembered as one of Disney's beloved princess stories. Just recently, Disney released the "Beauty and the Beast" trailer that shows Emma Watson reaching out to the magical rose.
The teasing, one minute and a half, video showed the movie's Gothic themed castle and voices of the two memorable funny characters that helped tell the story of the Disney princess, Belle. She enters the darkened room with chandeliers hanging from the top. A snapshot of the castle's family owners is seen until it was scratched - by the Beast of the story. In the final few seconds, we see Emma Watson reaching out to the Beast's forbidden rose.
Emma Watson portrays Belle in this movie and it's a far cry from her former "Harry Potter" role as Hermione. Gone are the curly locks and puberty figures. Here comes a lady waiting to be swept away. What's so different about this movie and that of the 1991 version? For one, the 1991 "Beauty and the Beast" was an animated version. Box Office Records shows that it brought in over $420 million. CNN reports that this version is a reimagined version of the animated classic. It brought the characters to life with the likes of Ewan McGregor, Dan Stevens, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.
Emma Watson's career shift to Disney is not entirely different, given she had a magical background with the "Harry Potter" series. Now, she takes on the lead role this time and takes on the Beast.
"Beauty and the Beast," is scheduled to hit theaters on March 17, 2017.
