When George R.R. Martin plans on reading a page out of a book, fans are eager to find out what kind of literature that could be. It turns out, GRRM is teasing fans about the "Winds of Winter" release date from a short chapter that reveals Brienne's origins.
A public appearance caused a frenzy. GRRM showed up in Baltimore for a Comic Con. The Baltimore Sun has it that during the convention, he revealed the Lady of Tarth's roots. According to WinterIsComing, she is apparently related to the legendary (and legendarily large) Ser Duncan the Tall, a hedge knight turned Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.
His sneak peek teaser includes reading a chapter from "The Winds of Winter," something he hasn't done in a while.
How about the recent "Game of Thrones" episode titled "Blood of My Blood?" It was unstated if it's all part of his "Winds of Winter book. However, of you've been following all the "Game of Thrones" episodes for the past five seasons, then you'd expect some gore, thrill or another character to die. There always is that somebody who dies. Sometimes, it's a direwolf.
This week's "Game of Thrones" season 6 episode focused on the origins of some characters and the internal battle they are currently experiencing. Take for instance, the change of heart of Margeary Tyrell and Arya Stark. Gizmodo calls it a "bit of a letdown."
All everybody can do is wait for the show to reveal the truth. And regarding the "Winds of Winter" release date? It is still unknown but it could be close as GRRM is already teasing some tidbits.
