Ever wondered what the Granger-Weasley family looks like? "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" releases the first ever family portrait.
Fans may have already seen a preview of the ginger (or curly) haired family during the last installment of the "Harry Potter" movie franchise but the Pottermore release picks up on the play. According to EW, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and their daughter, Rose, are the stars of a brand new first look from "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child."
This upcoming stage play is the eighth Harry Potter story right after the Deathly Hollows installment. Previously the world met the Potters which showed Harry Potter, Ginny Weasley and their son Albus (named after the beloved schoolmaster) in one sitting. But fans won't be treated to the usual movie cast. Instead, Paul Thornley and Noma Dumezweni will take the role of Ron and Hermione, respectively.
Rose is being played by Cherrelle Skeete. The Weasley's also have another son named Hugo but he's not yet of the right age to be in school. Skeete describes her character as "... ambitious, obviously her mum is Hermione so she's got a lot to live up to. I think they're quite similar in the fact they put a lot of pressure on themselves. And she just wants to do the right thing."
Author J.K. Rowling also added her description to the mix. "Rose is like her mother, but more secure, more grounded. She was born to wizards and knows her place in the world. Cherrelle plays her perfectly: bossy but deeply lovable."
Pottermore still needs to reveal some final characters for "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" and the set will be complete prior to the play.
The family portrait posted on Pottermore looks like it's for keeps.
