EW reported that DJ Calvin Harris has broken his silence over his break up with pop star Taylor Swift. The 32-year-old music producer took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to clarify things with his followers.
"The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect," Harris tweeted. This was retweeted by the "New Romantics" singer a few minutes after.

Last March, the pair celebrated their one-year anniversary with a romantic vacation. Calvin Harris even gave the pop star a gold locket with "3.6.2015" engraved on it.
According to TIME, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' split sparked speculations about a new hit from the "1989" hitmaker. Swift is notorious for using her ex-boyfriends as subjects of her hit singles such as "Dear John," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Style" and "Back to December," among others.
HollywoodLife.com noted that Taylor Swift wanted to marry Calvin Harris and have babies in the future. "Taylor is trying her best not to crumble, but this is more than upsetting," a source said to the publication.
"She thought they were heading to marriage and babies. They just celebrated their anniversary, this was not something she was expecting."
There were claims that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris' split was caused by the DJ's waning interest. Apparently, the couple also found that they were incompatible in different areas of their relationship. They were also described to be "more friends than lovers."
