Mariah Carey has made it publicly known, with a 35 carat diamond ring, that she's engaged to billionaire James Packer. She's happily trying to move on with her life but that's only going to happen if former spouse Nick Cannon will sign the papers.
It is uncertain what his reasons are for not signing the papers. This leaves diva Mariah frustrated. TMZ has is that he's been putting off signing the official divorce papers for a while now.
Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey have been living apart since middle of 2014. At the end of the year, Cannon filed a divorce. This prompted discussions about child custody and property settlements. Ultimately, they decided on joint custody. Everything has been allegedly settled and just needs Cannon's signature. Daily Mail wrote that the Nickelodeon star may still have feelings for the diva songbird. It was believed that the engagement announcement between Packer and Mariah prompted him to not sign the papers. Mariah made her relationship with Packers known last year and it was believed that Cannon cannot get over this union.
Mariah has been gushing to the media about her sparkly engagement ring and how she only wants an intimate wedding. She's been busy living it up in Italy these past several months. It appears she's in a hurry to move on and get married with Packer. On her official Twitter account, she's seen traveling around Europe, gushing at the Eiffel Tower and appears to be making pizza in an authentic brick oven.
She is living the life in Italy and around future or hopeful husband, James Packer. Until now, Cannon has not picked up the pen. According to reports, Nick Cannon has not responded to calls for comments regarding this matter.
