Previously, Daniel Craig said that he'd rather die than take up another James Bond movie. Would that be his sentiment this year? Speculations are rising that Tom Hiddleston will be the new James Bond. Is he going to pick up the 007 franchise and make it his own?
Tom Hiddleston may be famously known for his role as Loki in "Thor" and "The Avengers" franchise but he's particularly known for his elegance and voice. Which is why fans believe he's the next best thing for the next James Bond.
Pressure may have played a part in his decision. Metro has it that Craig is exiting from the 007 franchise after he said that he'd rather slash his wrists than repirse Agent 007. To support this, former Bond girl, Caterina Murino said that he was pressured and that may have been his motivation to quit. If Craig turned down this million dollar deal, who will take on the next crisp expensive suit? Fans want Tom Hiddleston as the new James Bond and Murino is excited to see Hiddleston take that role.
But the loud screams of his fans are not enough to convince him to become the next Agent 007. According to The Guardian, Hiddleston dismissed them as rumors. He thought that the origin of these rumors may have come from his appearance in the must-watch BBC spy drama television show, "The Night Manager." Hiddlston co-stars with Hugh Laurie on this gig. But multiple reports indicate that Hiddleston may just be downplaying the rumors to avoid much fuss. There is no official confirmation yet regarding the next James Bond actor.
With Daniel Craig exiting the franchise, fans and the industry are looking at other possibilities. Other actors being considered for the 007 role are Idris Elba and Jason Statham. Do any of these actors strike you as the next James Bond?
