'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' To Feature 'Dragon Ball Super' Content?

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" may have content from the franchise's current anime show "Dragon Ball Super." The game's producer made the announcement at E3 2016.

Yibada reported that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" producer Masayuki Hirano has revealed his hopes on adding content from "Dragon Ball Super" to the game. Apparently, Bandai Namco is already planning to adapt content from the anime series.

"Since Dragon Ball Super is still playing we are hoping to add those characters and features into the game," he told Siliconera in an interview at E3 2016. "As you can imagine, it takes a long time to create a character. It may be before the game is released, it may be after. To be candid, we're just starting to look into it."

Hirano also shared that the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" team is planning to support the game with free updates. Paid DLC may also be available after it gets released.

The "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" release date is expected to happen later this year. The highly-anticipated game will be published for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

According to Day Herald, the fighting game will most likely include some skins or characters from the show. However, it is unlikely that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will incorporate the story of the series since development has already started before "Dragon Ball Super" aired.

Tech Times noted that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have a character customization system again, with added options. New characters for the game as of the moment are Turles from "Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might" movie and Future Gohan.

Ki blasts now arc in the air, previously it flew straight forward. Two new types of dashes have also been introduced: a Homing Dash and an Aura Burst Dash.

The Homing Dash is a quicker form of dash. An Aura Burst Dash allows players to dodge attacks while approaching the enemy. The latter may cost users Ki or extra stamina, though.
