After "The Conjuring 2," comes a new venture in the horror industry. "The Nun" will have its own spin off courtesy of New Line. The film company is excited to make another horror success. After "Annabelle," the people behind "The Conjuring 2" is now working on the next horrific big thing.
"The Nun" is being headed by none other than director James Wan and producer Peter Safran who both produced "The Conjuring 2." They are reuniting once again to make another scare-worthy hit.
According to reports, the character who played the nun was Bonnie Aarons. She wore heavy horrible make up to depict a blasphemic character. "The Nun" will be the second spin off from the Conjuring line of movies. The last time the franchise had a spin off was 2014's "Annabelle." It became a blockbuster hit and grossed over $256 million. And "Annabelle" is not done yet. New Line is making a sequel and it is scheduled to be released in 2017.
The spin off's plot has not yet been fully discussed. It could be possible that the origins of the nun will be the focal point. Or the demon that took on the blasphemous form itself will be the one that haunts the movie. Will the two paranormal investigators in the Conjuring series also join in? There is no official announcement regarding the cast members or the story line as of yet.
Now, New Line confirms the production is already being started. Official statements regarding the movie's location is still undetermined. One thing is for sure, they are keeping it consistent by using the same face for the spin off and director James Wan is excited to extend his horror portfolio for another Conjuring notch in his career belt.
"The Conjuring 2" is still being shown in theaters nationwide.
