A New York building collapse has destroyed the home of a new york city Chinatown resident after he allegedly blew it up with bug bombs.
As the resident was seeking to kill roaches and other pests from his home, the bug bombs had also blown out a load-bearing wall, and collapsed the historical five-story building before the war in New York City in New York.
Residents of the Big Apple had reportedly felt tremors similar to an earthquake, as the top of the building tumbled down. Three of the residents were sent to hospitals with serious injuries, while others were being cured of minor cuts and burns.
The improper use of roach bombs have created the situation at hand. Bug bomb products are capable of creating respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses, and can be fatal to elderly and young children if the fumes are consumed.
Over-usage of bug bombs can in fact set fires and even create explosions that can befall walls, as in this incident. Contrary to popular belief, using more bug bombs would not destroy more bugs, as manufacturers have already calculated the most effective amount of pesticides to include in the aerosol propellants. Over use would not only be a hazard to possible explosions, but can also harm children and be dangerous to health as the propellants are also poisonous to human beings at certain amounts.
Additionally, to remove harmful effects from the pesticides, good and children's toys should also be covered to reduce the bodies' poison intake.
All ignition sources must be turned off to guarantee safety, as the propellants in the bug bomb are usually highly flammable and due to the speed of the release can quickly set a whole room on fire.
Of course, as the roach bomb goes off, be sure to vacate the property. And after it is safe to go back in, make sure you open all windows and doors so that the poisonous propellants would not affect you.
