HTC Bolt is making its way to the store soon. However, the Taiwanese brand remained mum about any details about their flagship phone. That is until a leaked press render of the HTC Bolt surfaced on the internet last September and made its way for all to see.
Last week, another set of freshly leaked images were seen online which tells more details about HTC Bolt. And on first glance, the new phone looked very much like the HTC 10, the company's flagship phone in 2016, with the Bolt being a bit larger than the older phone.
Contrary to what a lot of people think, HTC Bolt will be the first branded phone to be released that comes powered with an Android 7.0 Nugget. Most people assumed that the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be the first ones since HTC are the ones to make their phones too.
Rumored HTC Bolt Specs
Aside from the 5.5-inch full HD display screen which is slightly larger than the HTC 10's 5.2-inch screen, the phone will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner, a single firing speaker, and a USB Type-C port.
The rear camera is said to be 18 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture and can capture videos in 4K. The Bolt will also have an eight-megapixel front camera. The volume controls are located on the right side along with the power button while the slots for the micro SD and the SIM card is on the left side.
Some sharp-eyed people had pointed out that the leak photos reveal that HTC Bolt will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. It seems like HTC will also follow the likes of Apple (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus), LeEco (Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2) Motorola (Moto Z and Moto Z Force) who omitted the headphone jack in their 2016 phones. HTC Bolt will offer BoomSound which is an audio-enhancing tech that will be activated when using a headphone.
HTC Bolt has interesting features, however, HTC has not confirmed the release date and price of their flagship phone.
