Niall Horan let out a news on The Graham Norton Show in his last interview, One Direction Comeback will happen soon. Directioners, the band's fan base expressed their excitement on the news through the hashtags, #1YearSinceOTRASheffield and #ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection.
Reliving the days, the fans posted pictures of the band members from their concerts and captioning it with heartwarming messages. Most of them spoke about their longing for the band to be united again. Otra Sheffield One Direction tour was the last event they attended, it is also one of the trending hashtag.
A lot of Directioners demonstrated gratitude also for Niall. Mirror quotes Niall on his interview, "For now we are doing our own thing. We can't put a date on it but it won't be in 50 years. It's in the foreseeable future. We've talked about it, but for now we'll just play it by ear and see what happens."
The statement sparked hope for them, the hiatus may break their heart but the hope for One Direction Comeback is still on. However, The Sun reports Simon Cowell , the mentor behind the boy band will have nothing to do with the reunion. He felt that his presence is not anymore welcome.
He said: "Look, I'm not going to lie when I hear they're doing something, and they haven't approached me."
News reported that it was because the boys decided not to renew their contract with their company. Since then, the band mates: Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson are seen doing individual activities such as acting, recording and other things.
