"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 recently started and it is going to be its final season.
The show's producer has hinted a few times that Nina Dobrev will come back has really made a lot of fans excited. Even more, rumor has it that Nina Dobrev will return as the series' ultimate villain and will endanger or possibly end the lives of the Salvatore brothers, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Could this be true?
Julie Plec who is the executive producer of "The Vampire Diaries" believes that Nina Dobrev's return to the series will surely boost the ratings up most especially in the season finale. It has long been speculated that "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will be the show's ending due to its declining ratings. The show further suffered rating decline after Nina Dobrev left a few seasons back.
Many hopeful fans had been waiting for an official confirmation about her return but sadly, nothing has been released as of the moment. Although this is the case, it still would not stop fans in speculating how Nina Dobrev will return on the show. After all, as long as the character Elena is there, fans still have a lot of hope.
The most recent popular fan theory about Nina Dobrev's return is that she will return as Elena but her reunion with Damon will be a bloody one. Her comeback as an ultimate villain will cause harm to Stefan and Damon and might cause their untimely death.
This fan theory is further supported by what Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley think should be the perfect ending to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. They think that Nina Dobrev's character does not deserve any of the pain caused by the Salvatore brothers. They do think that it will be better that both brothers die in the series.
Fans will just have to wait if Nina Dobrev will appear on "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 soon. A new episode airs every Friday night on The CW.
