Clamouring fans have their eyes on the man behind HBO's hit series, "Game of Thrones" as the much-awaited installment of his book "A Song of Ice and Fire" titled "Winds of Winter" is long overdue.
Previous reports initially revealed that the book is slated for release in January 2018 and that the piece is already in the process of being proofread. However, there are new reports that claim that the book will be released much earlier than that.
According to IBT Times, "Winds of Winter" has already faced numerous delays and GRRM says that there are still a couple hundred of pages left before the book is completed. As mentioned earlier, there is a new report claiming that GMMR has already finished the book and it will be released in early 2017. There is a rumor that all the delays in writing the sixth book in the series were because GRRM was juggling multiple projects. As a result, "Winds of Winter" will be released simultaneously with Book Seven - "A Dream of Spring". Another reason for the delay is the fact that GRRM prioritizes the quality of his work over the time it takes to complete a book. The writer admits that he is a slow writer, nonetheless, GRRM did make the best of his efforts to release the book in a timely manner, since the fans have been waiting a long time.
The last installment of "A Song of Ice and Fire" was released back in 2011 and it was entitled "A Dance with Dragons" which was rather popular since the hit HBO series "A Game of Thrones" was strongly based on the said novel. That being said, it really has been a long time since GRRM released a book, and fans are still patiently waiting for "Winds of Winter".
Along with the rumored release date, there are also a few plot spoilers that plague the internet, as it is indeed dark and full of spoilers. One of the most frightening of which is the extremely detailed leak about the whole plot of "Game of Thrones" Season 7. The latter is said to reveal nearly everything that is to happen in the episodes of the season to come, including the return of a few characters and as usual, the death of major characters; which is fine as long as it doesn't include a Direwolf or a Dragon.
However, there is a spoiled storyline for the book that says Daenerys will rise to power but will lose her dragons in return. This takes place after she and her dragons battle the Night King and his Night Walkers, which apparently got her children killed.
