Directioners Start Riot in This is Us Preview, Police Made Appearance

The promise of shirtless Nial Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, and Liam Pain in the 3D movie This Is Us has caused a riot just outside of the theater screening the preview of the film.

The police made an appearance in LA's The Grove after concerned citizens called them about the chaos outside the cinema. The riot started when hoards of Directioners in the queue learned that not all of them can be accommodated by the movie house.

Reports say that a number of dedicated One Direction fans waited in line by 3.45am Saturday for the 10am screening of This Is Us. Many reportedly started panicking when they realized that there were too many people in the queue.

The Los Angeles Times reports that fans started running into the movie house in an attempt to get in. A witness to the riot said, "They charged and went straight past the ticket takers for the doors of the actual theater screaming, 'Let us in! Let us in!"

The LAPD arrived thirty minutes later and calmed the screaming fans down. Some were shoved outside the theater, reports say.

One eye witness added, "When I got inside, the red ropes that block the entrance to the theater were on the floor. It was pretty scary because people were tripping on the floor and pushing and stuff like that."

One Direction, an English-Irish boy band rose to fame when they released their hit single "What Makes You Beautiful" after signing with Simon Cowell's record label. Their first two albums released in 2011 and 2012 respectively generated hit singles included in the charts of 37 different countries. This resulted to One Direction gaining millions of fans all around the globe.

Their movie This Is Us will be officially released on the 29th of August.
