Blake Griffin has been the talk of the town lately as the all-star power forward is still ringless and is nearing free agency. Now, he is most likely to be a part of NBA rumors 2016 and could possibly be involved in a lot of trade talks. One rumor talks about Blake Griffin and his teammate J.J. Redick going to the Knicks in exchange for rising star Kristaps Porzingis and veteran guard Derrick Rose.

In a report by The Inquistr, the New York Knicks appears to be interested in Blake Griffin as the team has been struggling for a long time to get to the playoffs. Despite acquiring Derrick Rose in the offseason, the Knicks are still 2-4 to start the season. The Knicks have been criticized by many for their lack of defensive ability being ranked 25^th in overall defense this new season.

The Knicks getting Blake Griffin would be a good idea as he is one of the league's most athletic players who can score and defend the rim averaging .5 blocks and 1.3 steals per game this season. Getting J.J. Redick would also help the Knicks stretch out the floor and give them stability at the two guard position.

The Clippers would also benefit from Kristaps Porzingis since they need a big man who can shoot and stretch the floor which would complement DeAndre Jordan's playing style. DeAndreJordan and Blake Griffin are both athletic players but a lot of critics say they lack shooting ability. Acquiring Derrick Rose could also give the team more depth in the backcourt.

In order to make the transaction legal according to ESPN NBA trade machine, the Knicks needs to trade both Derrick Rose and Kristaps Porzingis so they could get Blake Griffin and J.J. Redick in return. These are only speculations in this year's NBA rumors 2016 but could possibly play out as the season goes. But even if the deal does not happen, the Knicks are still looking forward to getting Blake Griffin according to Sportsrageous. The team could either give up other players or trade their future draft picks.

There's a lot of buzz going around in the league right now and these two teams are definitely in the NBA rumors 2016. Fans and critics still need to wait for the postseason to start.
