The sudden firing of veteran actress Selma Blair who starred in films like "Cruel Intentions" and "Hellboy" from Charlie Sheen's sitcom Anger Management was the zenith of the complicated relationship between Blair and Sheen. Reports say Blair complained to the show's executives without talking to her co-star, telling everyone that Sheen was ridiculously late for tapings sending Sheen to go on a tantrum and issue an ultimatum to the show's execs.
"Selma did not talk to the execs, she was just confiding to a friend on how Charlie is always late," a source says. RadarOnline also confirms reports that Blair complained to someone who is not affiliated with the show but that gossip reached Sheen that Blair is taking behind his back. In an ambush interview with TMZ, Blair says, "I don't know anything."
RadarOnline also reports that Sheen has always been attracted to Blair but when he learned that the actress is criticizing him privately, his fuse went off. A common friend of Sheen and Blair told reporters, "He loved her in the movie Cruel Intentions and eventually got introduced to her."
"As the show began Sheen was still highly attracted to Selma. Call it flirtatious or whatever you want, but his feelings were obvious. He thought there was chemistry," the source continued.
Charlie Sheen's 2 ½ Men show also experienced the same drama but the show replaced Sheen. While Blair was reportedly upset about how Sheen is always late, other people were upset too but no one said a word to Sheen. RadarOnline's source also said, "There have even been times when he sits in the car for approximately an hour outside of the studio making everyone wait."
Blair started her acting career in 1995 but only gained mainstream recognition when she starred in 1999's Cruel Intentions - a movie that Sheen reportedly loves.
